Bartlesville, Oklahoma is a city located in the northeastern part of the state, about 50 miles north of Tulsa. It is the county seat of Washington County and has a population of around 35,000 people. The city was founded in 1897 by Frank Phillips, an oilman who established the Phillips Petroleum Company.
