Warren, Ohio is a city located in Trumbull County in the northeastern part of the state. It is the county seat and largest city in Trumbull County, with a population of 41,558 as of the 2010 census. The city is part of the Youngstown-Warren-Boardman metropolitan area and is located approximately 60 miles southeast of Cleveland.
The city was founded in 1798 by Moses Warren, who named it after his family. It was incorporated as a village in 1833 and became a city in 1889. Warren has a rich history that includes being an important stop on the Underground Railroad during the Civil War era.
The city has several parks and recreational areas, including Packard Park, which features a lake, walking trails, picnic areas, and playgrounds; Riverview Park, which offers fishing and boating opportunities; and Howland Township Park, which has baseball fields and tennis courts. There are also several golf courses in the area.
The economy of Warren is largely based on manufacturing and healthcare services. Major employers include Delphi Automotive Systems, General Electric Company (GE), Stoneridge Inc., Trumbull Memorial Hospital, Humility of Mary Health Partners (HMHP), and Warren City Schools.
