Euclid, OH is a city located in Cuyahoga County, Ohio. It is situated on the shores of Lake Erie and is part of the Greater Cleveland metropolitan area. The city has a population of approximately 48,000 people and covers an area of 11.5 square miles.
Euclid was founded in 1796 by surveyor Euclid Tappan and was incorporated as a village in 1903. The city has a rich history and was once home to the Euclid Beach Amusement Park which operated from 1895 to 1969. Today, Euclid is known for its diverse population, excellent schools, and vibrant business community.
The city offers many recreational activities for residents and visitors alike. There are several parks located throughout the city including Sims Park, Euclid Creek Reservation, and Euclid Beach Park which offer hiking trails, playgrounds, picnic areas, fishing spots, and more. The city also has several golf courses including Briardale Greens Golf Course and Little Met Golf Course.
Euclid is home to many businesses including manufacturing companies such as ArcelorMittal Steel Company and medical facilities such as Cleveland Clinic Euclid Hospital. The RTA also operates two light rail lines that connect Euclid with downtown Cleveland as well as other cities in Cuyahoga County.
