Wappingers Falls is a village located in Dutchess County, New York. It is situated on the east bank of the Wappinger Creek, which flows southward into the Hudson River. The village is part of the Town of Wappinger and is located approximately 60 miles north of New York City.
The village has a population of 5,522 people as of 2019 and covers an area of 2.2 square miles. It is home to several historic sites, including the Van Wyck Homestead Museum, which was built in 1732 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The village also features a variety of shops, restaurants, and other businesses along its Main Street corridor.
