Walker, NY is a small town located in the Finger Lakes region of New York State. It is situated on the eastern shore of Seneca Lake, one of the largest and deepest of the Finger Lakes. The town has a population of just over 1,000 people and covers an area of about 4 square miles.

The town was founded in 1810 by William Walker, who named it after himself. It was originally a farming community but has since become a popular tourist destination due to its proximity to Seneca Lake and its many wineries. The town is also home to several historic sites, including the Walker Homestead and the Walker Cemetery.

Walker is known for its beautiful scenery and outdoor activities. There are several parks in the area, including Sampson State Park which offers camping, fishing, boating, swimming, and hiking opportunities. The nearby Finger Lakes Trail System provides access to more than 500 miles of trails for biking and hiking enthusiasts.
