Valley Stream, New York Description
Valley Stream is a village located in Nassau County, New York, United States. It is situated on the border of Queens and Nassau counties, and is part of the Greater New York City metropolitan area. The population was 37,511 at the 2010 census.
Valley Stream is a diverse community with a variety of housing options ranging from single-family homes to townhouses and condominiums. The village has several parks and recreational facilities including Valley Stream State Park, which offers swimming, fishing, boating, and other outdoor activities. There are also several golf courses in the area.
The village has a vibrant downtown area with many shops and restaurants. Valley Stream also has its own library and post office as well as several banks and other businesses. The village is served by two Long Island Rail Road stations: Valley Stream Station and Gibson Station.
