Queens, NY is the largest borough in New York City and the second most populous county in the United States. It is located on the western end of Long Island and is bordered by Brooklyn to the south, Nassau County to the east, and the Atlantic Ocean to the south. Queens is home to a diverse population of over 2.3 million people, making it one of the most ethnically diverse counties in America.
The borough is home to two major airports, John F. Kennedy International Airport and LaGuardia Airport, as well as numerous parks, museums, cultural institutions, and attractions. Flushing Meadows-Corona Park is one of Queens’ most popular destinations for outdoor recreation and features a large lake, a zoo, an amusement park, and several sports fields. The Queens Museum of Art showcases works from around the world while Citi Field hosts Major League Baseball games for the New York Mets.
Queens also has a vibrant nightlife scene with many bars and clubs located throughout its various neighborhoods. Astoria is known for its Greek restaurants while Jackson Heights has some of the best Indian food in NYC. Jamaica Avenue is home to many Caribbean restaurants while Flushing Chinatown offers some of the best Chinese cuisine in town.
