Niagara Falls, NY is a city located in the western part of New York State, just south of the Canadian border. It is most famous for its namesake, Niagara Falls, one of the most iconic waterfalls in the world. The city itself has a population of around 50,000 people and is home to many attractions related to the falls.
The main attraction in Niagara Falls is undoubtedly the falls themselves. The three waterfalls that make up Niagara Falls are Horseshoe Falls, American Falls and Bridal Veil Falls. All three are located on the Niagara River which flows from Lake Erie into Lake Ontario. The falls are a popular tourist destination and can be viewed from both sides of the river. There are also boat tours available that take visitors right up to the base of the falls for an unforgettable experience.
In addition to its natural beauty, Niagara Falls also offers plenty of other attractions for visitors to enjoy. There are several museums dedicated to local history and culture as well as an aquarium and zoo. There are also several amusement parks in the area including Marineland and Clifton Hill Fun Pass which offer rides and games for all ages. For those looking for a more relaxed experience there are plenty of restaurants, shops and galleries to explore as well as scenic walking trails along both sides of the river.
