New Windsor is a town located in Orange County, New York, United States. It is situated on the west bank of the Hudson River, about 60 miles north of New York City. The town was founded in 1763 and incorporated in 1798. As of the 2010 census, the population was estimated to be around 25,244.

New Windsor is home to many historic sites and attractions, including Washington's Headquarters State Historic Site, which served as General George Washington's headquarters during the last year of the Revolutionary War. The site includes a museum and visitor center with exhibits about the history of the area and its role in the Revolutionary War. Other attractions include Storm King Art Center, a 500-acre outdoor sculpture park; Brotherhood Winery, America's oldest winery; and Mount Gulian Historic Site, a restored 18th century Dutch homestead.
