Floral Park is a village located in Nassau County, New York, United States. It is situated on Long Island, about 18 miles east of Manhattan. The village is part of the Greater New York City metropolitan area and is bordered by Queens to the west and Hempstead to the east.

The village was founded in 1908 by John Lewis Childs, a seed merchant from nearby Queens Village. He named it Floral Park after his favorite flower, the rose. The village was incorporated in 1908 and has since grown to a population of 16,000 people.

The village is known for its quaint charm and small-town atmosphere. It features tree-lined streets with well-maintained homes and gardens that give it a unique character.
