Farmington, New Mexico is a city located in the Four Corners region of the United States. It is the county seat of San Juan County and is situated on the Animas River. The city has a population of approximately 45,000 people and is known for its rich cultural heritage, outdoor recreation opportunities, and vibrant economy.

The area around Farmington was first inhabited by Native American tribes such as the Navajo, Ute, and Apache. The city was founded in 1876 as a trading post for settlers moving into the area. Today, Farmington is home to many different cultures and ethnicities that have blended together to create a unique community.

The city has a semi-arid climate with hot summers and mild winters. Average temperatures range from lows of 25°F in winter to highs of 90°F in summer. Rainfall averages around 10 inches per year with most precipitation occurring during the summer months.
