Trenton is the capital city of New Jersey, located in Mercer County. It is situated along the Delaware River and is part of the Greater Philadelphia metropolitan area. Trenton has a population of 84,913 people and covers an area of 8.3 square miles.
Trenton has a rich history, having been founded in 1719 by William Trent, a prominent Quaker merchant from Philadelphia. The city was an important industrial center during the 19th century and was home to several major factories and businesses. Today, Trenton is home to many government offices and institutions, including the New Jersey State House, the New Jersey State Museum, and the New Jersey State Library.
The city has a diverse economy with many industries represented including manufacturing, healthcare, education, finance, retail trade, transportation and warehousing. The city also has a vibrant arts scene with numerous galleries and performance venues such as the Trenton War Memorial Theater and Passage Theater Company.

The closest airport is Trenton-Mercer Airport which offers flights to various destinations throughout the United States.
Trenton offers plenty of recreational activities for residents to enjoy such as biking trails along the Delaware River waterfront or visiting one of its many parks like Cadwalader Park or Mill Hill Park which offer playgrounds, picnic areas and sports fields. There are also several museums in town such as The Old Barracks Museum which tells the story of colonial America or The New Jersey State Museum which houses art collections from around the world.
