Ocean City, New Jersey Description
Ocean City, NJ is a coastal resort town located in Cape May County, New Jersey. It is situated on an island between the Atlantic Ocean and the Great Egg Harbor Bay. The city is known for its boardwalk, which stretches for 2.5 miles along the beachfront and features a variety of shops, restaurants, and attractions. The boardwalk also has an amusement park with rides such as a roller coaster and Ferris wheel.
The city has a population of 11,000 people and is a popular vacation destination for families from all over the East Coast. It offers many activities such as swimming, fishing, surfing, boating, kayaking, parasailing, jet skiing, and more. There are also several golf courses in the area as well as tennis courts and miniature golf courses.
The downtown area of Ocean City features many restaurants offering seafood dishes such as crab cakes and clam chowder. There are also plenty of souvenir shops selling items such as t-shirts and postcards. The city also has several art galleries showcasing local artists’ work.
In addition to its beaches and boardwalk attractions, Ocean City hosts several festivals throughout the year including the Doo Dah Parade in April and Sunfest in September. The city also hosts an annual air show featuring military aircrafts from around the world performing stunts over the oceanfront.
