Hamilton, New Jersey is a suburban township located in Mercer County. It is situated between the cities of Trenton and Princeton, and is part of the Greater Trenton area. Hamilton Township covers an area of 40.4 square miles and has a population of 88,464 people as of the 2010 census.
The township was founded in 1790 and was named after Alexander Hamilton, one of the Founding Fathers of the United States. The town has a rich history that dates back to colonial times when it was part of Nottingham Township. Hamilton was incorporated as a township in 1842 and has since grown into a vibrant community with many amenities for its residents.
The town is home to several parks, including Veterans Park, Sayen Park, and Gropp Lake Park. These parks offer recreational activities such as walking trails, playgrounds, fishing spots, picnic areas, and more. Hamilton also boasts several shopping centers such as Hamilton Marketplace and Quaker Bridge Mall which offer a variety of stores for shoppers to explore.
