Haddon Township, New Jersey Description
Haddon, NJ is a small borough located in Camden County, New Jersey. It is situated on the east side of the Cooper River and is bordered by Haddon Township to the north, Collingswood to the south, and Oaklyn to the west. The population of Haddon is approximately 8,000 people.
The town was founded in 1875 and has a rich history that dates back to colonial times. The area was originally inhabited by Native Americans before being settled by Europeans in 1681. The town was named after Elizabeth Haddon Estaugh who was one of the first settlers in the area.
Haddon has a vibrant downtown area with many shops and restaurants. There are also several parks and recreational areas for residents to enjoy. The town also hosts several annual events such as the Haddon Summer Festival and the Haddon Holiday Parade.
