Camden, NJ is a city located in Camden County, New Jersey. It is situated directly across the Delaware River from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Camden is the county seat of Camden County and the 12th most populous municipality in New Jersey.

The city has a rich history that dates back to 1626 when it was first settled by Dutch traders. In 1844, Camden was incorporated as a city and quickly grew into an industrial powerhouse due to its location on the Delaware River and its proximity to Philadelphia. During this time, Camden became home to several large factories and shipyards that produced everything from locomotives to ships for the US Navy.
