Bridgeton is a city located in Cumberland County, New Jersey, United States. It is the county seat of Cumberland County and is part of the Vineland-Millville-Bridgeton Primary Metropolitan Statistical Area. As of the 2010 United States Census, the city had a total population of 25,349, reflecting an increase of 2,578 (+11.3%) from the 22,771 counted in the 2000 Census, which had in turn increased by 1,872 (+8.9%) from the 20,899 counted in the 1990 Census.

Bridgeton was originally incorporated as a township by an act of the New Jersey Legislature on March 3, 1865, from portions of Deerfield Township. Bridgeton was incorporated as a city on March 1, 1865 and reincorporated on February 28, 1868. Bridgeton is home to large industries such as Owens-Illinois Glass Company and Wheaton Glass Company. The city also has many historic sites including Bridgeton Historic District and Old Broad Street Presbyterian Church which are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The city has many parks and recreational facilities including Cohanzick Zoo which is home to over 100 species of animals and birds; Sunset Lake Park which offers fishing and boating; and Parvin State Park which offers camping and hiking trails. There are also several museums such as The Noyes Museum of Art which features works by local artists; The Bridgeton Historical Society Museum which houses artifacts from early settlers; and The Indian King Tavern Museum which showcases artifacts from colonial times.

Bridgeton also has a vibrant downtown area with many shops and restaurants offering a variety of cuisines including Italian, Mexican, Chinese and American fare. There are also several festivals throughout the year such as the annual Bridgeton Jazz Festival held each summer at Riverfront Park or the annual Harvest Festival held each fall at City Hall Plaza featuring live music performances by local bands.
