Brick, New Jersey Description

Brick Township, New Jersey is a township in Ocean County, New Jersey. It is located on the Barnegat Peninsula, a long, narrow barrier peninsula that separates Barnegat Bay from the Atlantic Ocean. Brick Township is home to over 75,000 residents and covers an area of approximately 50 square miles.

The township was named after Joseph Brick, who purchased land in the area in 1785. The town has grown significantly since then and now includes several distinct neighborhoods such as Herbertsville, Princeton Park, and Shore Acres.

Brick Township is known for its beautiful beaches along the Barnegat Bay and Atlantic Ocean. There are several public parks throughout the township including Windward Beach Park and Drum Point Park which offer swimming, fishing, boating, and other recreational activities. The town also has a number of golf courses including Eagle Ridge Golf Club and Pine Belt Country Club.

The downtown area of Brick Township features a variety of shops and restaurants as well as a movie theater. The town also hosts several annual events such as the Brick Township Summerfest which features live music performances and fireworks displays.

Brick Township is served by two school districts: Brick Public Schools and Lakewood Public Schools. The town also has several private schools including St. Dominic Academy and St. Joseph High School.
