Bloomfield, NJ is a small town located in Essex County, New Jersey. It is situated just west of Newark and east of Montclair. The town has a population of approximately 47,000 people and covers an area of 5.2 square miles.

The town was founded in 1812 and was originally known as the “Green Village” due to its lush landscape and rolling hills. Bloomfield is home to many historic sites such as the First Presbyterian Church, which was built in 1794, and the Bloomfield Public Library, which opened in 1891.

The town has a vibrant downtown area with many shops, restaurants, and businesses. There are also several parks located throughout the town including Brookdale Park, Watsessing Park, and Brookside Park.
