Horace, North Dakota Description
Horace, North Dakota is a small town located in Cass County, just north of Fargo. The population of Horace is approximately 1,500 people. The town was founded in 1882 and named after Horace Greeley, the famous newspaper editor and politician.
The town has a rural feel to it with many farms and ranches surrounding the area. There are several small businesses in the town including a grocery store, hardware store, gas station, and several restaurants. The town also has a post office and library.
The climate in Horace is typical of North Dakota with cold winters and hot summers. The average temperature in January is around 10 degrees Fahrenheit while the average temperature in July is around 80 degrees Fahrenheit.
The main attraction in Horace is the annual Horace Days celebration which takes place every summer. This event includes carnival rides, live music, food vendors, and other activities for all ages to enjoy.
Horace also has several parks including a skate park, baseball fields, tennis courts, basketball courts, playgrounds and picnic areas. There are also several walking trails throughout the town that provide beautiful views of the surrounding countryside.
