New Bern, North Carolina is a charming city located on the banks of the Neuse and Trent Rivers in the eastern part of the state. It is the second oldest town in North Carolina and was founded in 1710 by Swiss and German immigrants. The city has a rich history that includes being the first capital of North Carolina, as well as being an important port during the American Revolution.
Today, New Bern is a vibrant community with a population of around 30,000 people. It is known for its historic downtown area, which features many buildings from the 18th and 19th centuries.
