New Bern, North Carolina is a charming city located on the banks of the Neuse and Trent Rivers in the eastern part of the state. It is the second oldest town in North Carolina and was founded in 1710 by Swiss and German immigrants. The city has a rich history that includes being the first capital of North Carolina, as well as being an important port during the American Revolution.
