Lenoir, North Carolina is a small city located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Caldwell County. It is situated along the Catawba River and is home to approximately 18,000 people. The city was founded in 1792 and has a rich history that includes being the birthplace of the furniture industry in North Carolina.
The downtown area of Lenoir is full of historic buildings, including several churches, a courthouse, and many other structures from the 19th century. There are also several parks and recreational areas throughout the city, including Harper Park, which features a playground, walking trails, and picnic areas.
