High Point, North Carolina is a city located in the Piedmont Triad region of the state. It is known as the "Furniture Capital of the World" due to its large furniture industry. The city has a population of approximately 110,000 people and is home to High Point University, a private liberal arts college.

High Point is situated in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains and is surrounded by rolling hills and lush forests. The city has a humid subtropical climate with hot summers and mild winters.

The downtown area of High Point is home to many historic buildings, including the Imperial Centre for Arts & Sciences, which houses an art museum, theater, and science center.
