Banner Elk, North Carolina is a small town located in the Blue Ridge Mountains of western North Carolina. It is situated in the heart of the High Country, and is known for its stunning mountain views, outdoor activities, and quaint downtown area.
The town of Banner Elk was founded in 1883 by a group of settlers from Virginia. The town was named after a nearby mountain peak called Banner Elk Mountain. The town has grown over the years to become a popular tourist destination for those looking to explore the beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Banner Elk is home to many outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, fishing, camping, skiing, snowboarding, and more.
