St. Michael, Minnesota Description

St. Michael, Minnesota is a small city located in the northwestern part of the state, about 30 miles northwest of Minneapolis. It is part of the Twin Cities metropolitan area and has a population of approximately 17,000 people. The city was founded in 1856 and named after the Archangel Michael.

The city is known for its small-town charm and friendly atmosphere. It has a variety of shops, restaurants, and other businesses that cater to both locals and visitors alike. There are several parks in St. Michael, including Lions Park which features a playground, picnic areas, and walking trails. The city also has an active arts community with several galleries and performance venues.

St. Michael is home to several schools including St. Michael-Albertville High School which serves students from grades 9-12 as well as two elementary schools and one middle school. The city also has a library, community center, and senior center that offer various programs for residents of all ages.
