Detroit Lakes, Minnesota is a small city located in the northwestern corner of the state. It is situated on the western shore of Detroit Lake, a large lake that is part of the Red River watershed. The city has a population of 8,569 people and covers an area of 10.2 square miles.
The city is known for its natural beauty and outdoor recreation opportunities.
