West Bloomfield, MI is a vibrant and diverse community located in Oakland County, Michigan. It is situated just north of Detroit and is part of the Metro Detroit area. The city has a population of around 65,000 people and covers an area of approximately 33 square miles.
West Bloomfield is known for its beautiful lakeside scenery and outdoor activities. The city has over 20 lakes within its borders, including Cass Lake, Orchard Lake, Pine Lake, and Union Lake. These lakes provide plenty of opportunities for fishing, boating, swimming, and other recreational activities. There are also several parks in the area that offer hiking trails, playgrounds, picnic areas, and more.
The city also offers a variety of shopping options with many stores located in the downtown area as well as in the surrounding suburbs. There are also several restaurants to choose from ranging from casual to upscale dining experiences.
West Bloomfield is home to several educational institutions including Oakland University and Lawrence Technological University. The city also has a number of private schools such as West Bloomfield High School and International Academy West Bloomfield.
The city is served by two major highways: I-696 and M-5 which make it easy to get around town or travel to nearby cities like Detroit or Ann Arbor. Public transportation is available through SMART buses which provide service throughout the city as well as to nearby communities.
