Portage, Michigan is a city located in Kalamazoo County, Michigan. It is part of the Kalamazoo-Portage Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 46,292 at the 2010 census.
Portage is known for its many parks and trails, including the Portage Creek Bicentennial Park and the Celery Flats Historical Area. The city also has a vibrant downtown area with many shops and restaurants.
