Oshtemo is a small township located in Kalamazoo County, Michigan. It is situated just west of the city of Kalamazoo and is home to approximately 8,000 people. The township was first settled in 1831 and was incorporated in 1837.

Oshtemo is a vibrant community with a variety of amenities and attractions. The township has several parks, including Oshtemo Township Park, which features a playground, picnic area, and walking trails. There are also several golf courses in the area, including the Kalamazoo Country Club and the Oshtemo Golf Course.

Oshtemo is served by the Kalamazoo Public Schools district which includes seven elementary schools, two middle schools, one high school (Kalamazoo Central High School), and one alternative education center (Kalamazoo Area Math & Science Center). The township also has its own library branch (Oshtemo Township Library) which offers books, magazines, movies, music CDs, audio books and more for patrons to borrow or purchase.
