Ludington, Michigan is a small city located on the eastern shore of Lake Michigan in the state of Michigan. It is a popular tourist destination due to its beautiful beaches, picturesque harbor, and historic downtown area. The city has a population of 8,072 people as of 2020 and is the county seat of Mason County.
The city was founded in 1873 by James Ludington, who named it after himself. It quickly grew into an important port town due to its location on Lake Michigan and its proximity to Chicago.
