Lowell, Michigan is a small city located in Kent County, about 20 miles east of Grand Rapids. It is situated on the Flat River and is home to a population of just over 4,000 people. The city was founded in 1831 and has a rich history that includes being the birthplace of the Lowell Showboat, which was the first showboat to travel the Great Lakes.
