Livonia, Michigan is a city located in the western suburbs of Detroit. It is the ninth largest city in the state and has a population of around 96,000 people. Livonia is known for its excellent schools, safe neighborhoods, and family-friendly atmosphere. The city is home to many parks and recreational areas, including the popular Greenmead Historical Park.

The downtown area of Livonia features a variety of shops and restaurants, as well as a movie theater and bowling alley. There are also several museums in the area, such as the Livonia Historical Museum and the Holocaust Memorial Center. The city also hosts several annual events such as the Livonia Spree Festival and the Livonia Community Expo.

Livonia has an extensive public transportation system that includes buses, light rail, and commuter rail lines that connect it to Detroit and other nearby cities. The city also has two major highways running through it: I-96 and I-275.

Livonia is home to several higher education institutions including Madonna University, Schoolcraft College, Lawrence Technological University, Marygrove College, and Cleary University. It also has several hospitals including St Mary Mercy Hospital and Garden City Hospital.
