Lansing, Michigan is the capital of the U.S. state of Michigan and the county seat of Ingham County. It is located in Central Michigan, along the Grand River and near Lake Lansing. The city has a population of over 117,000 people and is home to several universities, including Michigan State University and Lansing Community College.
The city has a rich history that dates back to 1835 when it was founded as a trading post by John Anderson.
