Hillsdale, Michigan is a small city located in the south-central part of the state. It is situated in the rolling hills of the Irish Hills region, and is home to about 8,000 people. The city is known for its historic downtown area, which features a variety of shops and restaurants.
The city was founded in 1835 by settlers from New York and Pennsylvania. It was named after its founder, John Hill, who was a prominent local businessman.
