Fisher, Michigan is a small village located in the heart of Mid-Michigan. It is situated in Gratiot County, approximately 10 miles east of Alma and 20 miles west of Ithaca. The population of Fisher is just over 500 people and it covers an area of 0.6 square miles.
The village was founded in 1871 by William Fisher, who purchased the land from the government and began to develop it into a farming community. Today, Fisher is still a rural community with many farms and agricultural businesses in the area. The main industries are dairy farming, corn production, and soybean production.
Fisher has a small downtown area with several shops and restaurants. There are also several churches in the village including St. Paul's Lutheran Church, First Baptist Church, and St. Mary's Catholic Church. The village also has its own post office and library as well as a few parks for residents to enjoy.
