Edwardsburg, Michigan is a small village located in Cass County, Michigan. It is situated on the banks of the St. Joseph River and is part of the South Bend-Mishawaka Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population of Edwardsburg was 2,664 at the 2010 census.
The village was founded in 1831 by William Edwards, who built a sawmill and grist mill on the banks of the St. Joseph River. The village grew quickly and soon became a center for commerce and industry in the area. Today, Edwardsburg is home to several businesses including a grocery store, hardware store, restaurants, and other retail establishments.
The village has several parks and recreational areas including Edwardsburg Park which features a playground, picnic area, basketball court, tennis courts, baseball diamond and walking trails. There are also two golf courses nearby – Indian Lake Hills Golf Course and White Pines Golf Course – as well as numerous lakes for fishing or boating activities.
Edwardsburg is served by two school districts – Edwardsburg Public Schools and Cassopolis Public Schools – which offer educational opportunities for students from kindergarten through 12th grade. The village also has its own library which offers books, magazines, movies and other media for residents to enjoy.
Overall, Edwardsburg is a small but vibrant community that offers its residents plenty of amenities while still maintaining its rural charm.
