Chesterfield, Michigan is a small city located in Macomb County, about 30 miles northeast of Detroit. It is a suburb of Detroit and has a population of around 50,000 people. The city was founded in 1836 and was named after the Earl of Chesterfield in England.
The city is known for its beautiful parks and recreational areas, including the Lake St. Clair Metropark which offers swimming, fishing, boating, and other outdoor activities. There are also several golf courses in the area as well as many shopping centers and restaurants.
Chesterfield is home to several large employers such as Chrysler Corporation, General Motors Corporation, and DTE Energy. The city also has a vibrant arts scene with several galleries and performance venues. The annual Chesterfield Arts Festival takes place each summer and features local artists from all over the state.
