Cannon, Michigan is a small unincorporated community located in the northern part of the state. It is situated in Grand Traverse County, just south of Traverse City. The area is known for its rolling hills and lush forests, making it a popular destination for outdoor recreation.

The town was founded in 1871 by William Cannon, who named it after himself. It was originally a logging town and still has many of the original buildings from that era. Today, it is home to about 500 people and is primarily a residential community.
