Brooklyn, Michigan is a small town located in the south-central part of the state, about 30 miles southwest of Ann Arbor. It is situated in Jackson County and has a population of approximately 2,000 people. The town was founded in 1837 and has a rich history that includes being the birthplace of the first commercial canning factory in the United States.
