Battle Creek, Michigan is a city located in the south-central region of the state. It is situated along the Kalamazoo River and is part of the Battle Creek metropolitan area. The city has a population of approximately 52,347 people and covers an area of 22.7 square miles.

Battle Creek is known as "Cereal City" due to its long association with breakfast cereal production. The city was home to the first ready-to-eat breakfast cereal, which was invented by Dr. John Harvey Kellogg in 1894. Today, Battle Creek is still home to several cereal companies including Post Foods and Kellogg's.

The city also has a rich history in manufacturing and industry, with many factories located in the area. In addition to cereal production, Battle Creek is home to automotive parts manufacturers, paper mills, and other industrial businesses.
