Westminster, Maryland Description

Westminster, MD is a small city located in the northern part of Maryland, about 30 miles northwest of Baltimore. It is the county seat of Carroll County and has a population of around 18,000 people. The city was founded in 1764 and is known for its historic downtown area, which features many buildings from the 19th century.

The downtown area is home to many shops, restaurants, and other businesses. There are also several parks in the city, including the Westminster National Golf Course and the Westminster Community Park. The city also has a number of historical sites, such as the Carroll County Courthouse and the Union Mills Homestead.

Westminster is home to McDaniel College, a private liberal arts college that was founded in 1867. The college offers undergraduate and graduate degrees in a variety of fields. The city also has several public schools that serve students from kindergarten through 12th grade.
