Waldorf, Maryland is a census-designated place located in Charles County, Maryland. It is situated about 25 miles south of Washington, D.C., and is part of the Washington metropolitan area. The population of Waldorf was estimated to be 68,737 in 2019.

Waldorf is a vibrant community with a variety of shopping, dining and entertainment options. The town center features a variety of stores, restaurants and services including a movie theater and bowling alley. There are also several parks and recreational facilities in the area including White Plains Regional Park which offers hiking trails, picnic areas and playgrounds.

The town is home to several schools including St. Charles High School, Thomas Stone High School and Westlake High School as well as several private schools such as St. Mary's Catholic School and Waldorf Christian Academy. The College of Southern Maryland has a campus in Waldorf offering associate degrees and certificate programs in various fields of study.

Waldorf has easy access to major highways such as US Route 301, Interstate 95 and the Capital Beltway making it an ideal location for commuters to Washington D.C., Baltimore or other nearby cities. The town also has its own Amtrak station providing service to Union Station in Washington D.C., Baltimore Penn Station or other destinations along the Northeast Corridor line.
