Pasadena is a census-designated place in Anne Arundel County, Maryland, United States. It is located approximately 15 miles south of Baltimore and 25 miles east of Washington, D.C. The population was 24,287 at the 2010 census.

Pasadena is a suburban community with a mix of residential and commercial development. The area is home to many parks and recreational facilities, including Lake Waterford Park, Downs Park, and Fort Smallwood Park. There are also several shopping centers in the area, including Pasadena Plaza Shopping Center and Marley Station Mall.

The climate in Pasadena is mild with hot summers and cool winters. Average temperatures range from the mid-50s in winter to the mid-80s in summer. Rainfall averages around 40 inches per year with snowfall averaging around 10 inches per year.

Pasadena has a strong sense of community with many local events throughout the year such as the annual 4th of July parade and fireworks display, the Pasadena Business Association's Summerfest celebration, and the annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony at Lake Waterford Park. There are also several churches in the area that offer religious services for residents of all faiths.

Education is important to Pasadena residents with several public schools located within its boundaries including Chesapeake High School, George Fox Middle School, Jacobsville Elementary School, and Riviera Beach Elementary School. There are also several private schools located nearby such as St Jane Frances Catholic School and Severna Park Montessori School.
