Rock, MA is a small town located in the northeastern part of Massachusetts. It is situated on the banks of the Merrimack River and is bordered by the towns of Andover, North Andover, and Methuen. The town has a population of approximately 8,000 people and covers an area of about 6 square miles.

The town was first settled in 1645 and was originally known as "Rocks Village". It was incorporated as a town in 1725 and named after its rocky terrain. Rock is home to many historic sites including the Rock Historic District which includes several colonial-era homes and buildings.

The town has a variety of recreational activities available for residents and visitors alike. There are several parks located throughout the town including Rock Park, which features a playground, basketball court, tennis courts, baseball field, and picnic areas. There are also several walking trails that wind through the woods surrounding the town.

Rock also has a vibrant downtown area with many shops, restaurants, cafes, galleries, and other businesses. The downtown area also hosts several annual events such as the Rock Arts Festival which showcases local artists’ work. Additionally there are several festivals throughout the year such as the Apple Blossom Festival in May and the Harvest Festival in October.

Rock is served by two public schools: Rock Elementary School and Rock Middle School. The town also has two private schools: St Mary's Academy and St John's Prep School.
