Newton, MA is a city located in Middlesex County, Massachusetts. It is part of the Greater Boston area and is located about 10 miles west of downtown Boston. Newton is known for its excellent schools, beautiful parks, and vibrant culture.

The city of Newton has a population of approximately 88,000 people and covers an area of 18.6 square miles. It is divided into 13 villages which each have their own unique character and charm. The villages are Auburndale, Chestnut Hill, Newton Centre, Newton Corner, Newton Highlands, Newton Lower Falls, Newton Upper Falls, Nonantum (also known as "The Lake"), Oak Hill, Thompsonville, Waban, West Newton and the village of Newtonville which is the largest village in the city.

Newton has a rich history that dates back to 1630 when it was first settled by Europeans. Since then it has grown to become one of the most desirable places to live in Massachusetts due to its excellent schools and safe neighborhoods. The city also offers plenty of recreational activities such as hiking trails at Hemlock Gorge Reservation or boating on Crystal Lake.

Newton is home to several prestigious universities including Boston College Law School and Brandeis University as well as numerous private schools such as Mount Alvernia Academy and Fessenden School.
