Metairie, Louisiana is a suburb of New Orleans located in Jefferson Parish. It is the largest community in the parish and the fifth-largest in the state. Metairie is known for its large population of Italian Americans, as well as its many restaurants and shopping centers. The city has a humid subtropical climate with hot summers and mild winters.

Metairie is home to many attractions, including the Lakeside Shopping Center, which features over 150 stores and restaurants. The city also has several parks, including Lafreniere Park, which offers a variety of recreational activities such as biking trails, playgrounds, and picnic areas. Metairie also has several museums and galleries that showcase local art and history.

The city is served by two major highways: Interstate 10 and Interstate 610. Public transportation is provided by Jefferson Transit, which operates buses throughout the city. Metairie also has an international airport located just outside of town.

Metairie is a vibrant community with plenty to offer residents and visitors alike. From its diverse culture to its abundance of attractions, Metairie is sure to provide something for everyone!
