Covington, Louisiana is a small city located in St. Tammany Parish, just north of Lake Pontchartrain and about 40 miles north of New Orleans. It is known for its historic downtown area, which features a variety of shops, restaurants, and galleries. The city also has several parks and recreational areas, including the Bogue Chitto State Park and the Covington Trailhead.

Covington is home to many festivals throughout the year, including the Three Rivers Art Festival in April and the Covington Farmers Market in May. The city also hosts a variety of events such as concerts, art shows, and outdoor movies.

The city has a vibrant nightlife with several bars and clubs located downtown. There are also several restaurants that serve up local favorites like gumbo and jambalaya.
