Olathe, Kansas is a city located in Johnson County, Kansas, United States. It is the county seat and the most populous city in Johnson County. As of the 2010 census, the city population was 125,872 making it the fourth most populous city in Kansas. Olathe is located 20 miles southwest of downtown Kansas City and is part of the Kansas City metropolitan area.
Olathe has been recognized as one of the fastest growing cities in America since 2000. The city has seen a population growth rate of over 30% since 2000 and continues to grow at a rapid pace. The city has also been ranked as one of the best places to live in America by Money Magazine and Forbes Magazine.
Olathe is home to many businesses and industries including Garmin International, Honeywell Aerospace, Johnson County Community College, Olathe Medical Center, and many more. The city also boasts an excellent school system with numerous elementary schools, middle schools, high schools, and colleges within its boundaries.
