Wheaton, IL is a city located in DuPage County, Illinois. It is a western suburb of Chicago and is part of the Chicago metropolitan area. The population of Wheaton was 52,894 at the 2010 census.
Wheaton is known for its vibrant downtown area, which features a variety of shops and restaurants. The city also has several parks and recreational areas, including the DuPage County Forest Preserve and the Cosley Zoo.
Wheaton is home to several educational institutions, including Wheaton College, a private liberal arts college; Wheaton Warrenville South High School; and several elementary schools. The city also has a public library and two museums: the DuPage County Historical Museum and the Cantigny First Division Museum.
