Kankakee, IL is a city located in the northern part of Illinois, about an hour south of Chicago. It is the county seat of Kankakee County and has a population of around 27,000 people. The city is situated on the banks of the Kankakee River and is known for its rich history and culture.
Kankakee was founded in 1854 by settlers from New York and Ohio who were looking for a place to settle down.
